Bah, Humbug...

After almost a month of not blogging anything at all, I have finally found it in me to write something. I now know how Charles Dickens felt during that odd time before he wrote one of his greatest works. At the time, he was having financial problems as advances in royalties have been cut drastically. It could not have come at a worse time, as he was having trouble writing anything. So with no advances and no new works, he feared for his family's future. He could not write because he had lost something in him. That something had in the past enabled him to write and weave words into novels and prose. Eventually though, he was able to regain that inspiration within him after going back to his roots. And what a comeback he made. He wrote A Christmas Carol after that slump.

I too had a slump the last few weeks. First I got sick. I got eleven days off from work. My body was a mess during that week and a half. When I was well enough to stand up and walk around, I had nothing to do. The last few days of my recuperation, I was bored stiff but had no inclination to blog, write or surf. I didn't open the computer that much.

When I finally got back to work, I had a lot of catching up to do. I had little time to spare for personal pursuits, let alone find inspiration to blog. Then I started applying for a promotion. I face a panel of interviewers tonight. I'm already a nervous wreck. My wife did help me practice yesterday and hopefully that'll help.

So anything interesting happen to you lately?
