I finally got it. I wished for a sick day and got it. It was supposed to be a joke but as they say,"be careful what you wish for..."
I went to work as usual Saturday night despite a slight fever.Sunday morning,i started running a 39-degree fever. I started getting chills,so my wife was convinced it wasn't a flu coming on.So this morning we went to a doctor and he told me i had strep.So i can now reasonably rest till Wednesday night without engaging the wrath of my supervisors.
I can't properly rest though.Most of the time idle thoughts take over and muddle any opportunity of meaningful slumber.So i am left here to suffer writing a blog entry 3-paragraphs long using 2 thumbs to type using a frickin mobile phone and hopefully tire my eyes to rid myself of this nauseating insomnia!Whew.Got to go now.My thumbs are a bit sore now.
