At the water cooler -- I approach as a young lady draws water into her plastic cup. When I get there, she steps back. Actually, it looked more like she recoiled about two feet away. Seizing the opportunity as she sipped her water, I fill my mug. An awkward moment passed as I waited for all 12 ounces to fill my righteous mug. With her back against a nearby cubicle, she set her eyes on the water cooler's faucet. She was careful not to look my way. As I turn, she cautiously returns to the faucet, her lithe frame tensed like a leopard returning to its prized prey after an unknowing hunter passes by. I fight off the urge to turn back and startle her with my sudden movement. I am so mean :-]
