I'm back online. It felt weird not going online for a few days. Anyway, I spent the Holidays with my wife and kid. Me and the wife prepared our meal for Christmas eve. We're not that good at cooking but at least we pulled it off this time. Give novices an easy enough cookbook and you'll get miracles. LOL ;-) We spent the whole evenign preparing our meal and watching TV. It seems that TV is now a big part of everyone's life. That's why show like GMA's The Probe Team chose to feature children in it's Christmas special. They featured a few stories of poor children who have had inspiring moments in their lives. How could so many live with so little and yet manage to do so much for others? Well that may be it. Because they have so little, they know how much it means to have nothing. They share out of sympathy and out of love. I was teary-eyed for the rest of the evening.

There was one particular story that got my interest. It was about Junior Health Workers being trained by Child Hope Asia. Child Hope Asia is an NGO that primarily serves street children. These junior health workers they train are street children themeselves. Often neglected, or worse, shunned from the regular health centers, street children are often left to fend for their own. Junior health workers fill the gap left. They even help report abuses. Fortunately, there are NGO's like Child Hope Asia that help street children help themselves through programs like these. Well, buddy, you can do something too. Check out Child Hope Asia to find out how you can help the street children of the Philippines.
